Mobile World Congress, Barcelona | 2017, 2024, 2025 and 2026

The Foreign Office Lighting Design regularly designs immersive, breathtaking pieces for attendees at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The team worked closely with show directors and producers to create a unique immersive experience that demonstrated Huawei’s technological prowess and symbolized the interconnectedness of devices in our increasingly intelligent world.

“James Hamilton and The Foreign Office team are so talented and the lighting was AMAZING! We were so lucky to have them on this project. James is one of the best lighting designers I've worked with and he would be the first person I would call in UK or Europe if I need a lighting designer for mega events!”

Fei Lu, Production Manager, Omnicon

The centerpiece of Huawei’s booth in Hall 1 was a star-studded canopy, meticulously crafted to represent countless bits of intelligence lighting up the night’s sky.

Sustainability was a key requirement utilizing energy-efficient LED technologies and intelligent lighting controls minimized the environmental impact while delivering a visually stunning presentation.

“What stood out most was their collaborative approach. They worked seamlessly with the wider production team, communicating clearly and adapting to the needs of the event to ensure everything ran smoothly.

A great example of how strong teamwork and skilled lighting design can come together to create a polished and engaging live experience."
